Chocolate – Hazelnut Buttons!

These are our favorite snacks ever!

I started making raw snacks some time ago. I played around with various recipes. This recipe is the outcome of lots of experimenting. It really came together like a sweet sweet dream!

Organize Happy Chocolate-Hazelnut Button snacks:

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups Hazelnut flour
  2. 1 &  3/4 cup oat flour
  3. 1/2 cacao powder
  4. 1/4 water
  5. 1/2 cup agave syrup
  6. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  7. 1/4 teaspoon Hazelnut extract
  8. Dash of sea salt
  9. Organic dark chocolate chips {or see variations}
  10. Gojis!

Variations:

  • cacao nibs instead of Chocolate chips
  • Add some almond butter or peanut butter
  • Add a tiny bit of ground coffee beans.

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients except Chocolate chips and gojis in bowl.
  2. Blend with electric mixer or by hand.
  3. Fold chocolate chips and gojis into batter.
  4. Roll into small balls and place on dehydrator screen. Use extra gojis for little Button top:}
  5. Dehydrate 6/8 hours.

I like to have these on hand incase I get that “I need chocolate!” craving:}

    I have never tried- I have heard that if you put your stove on very low and keep it slightly open it should act {in some way} as a dehydrator. I would be to nervous to leave my stove open!
