Refrigerator organization was an area in my life that needed work and patience. I had to figure out where to put things and how to organize it for optimal use. After a lot of trials and experimentation I created a system that I am very happy with:}

Part of the reason it can stay organized is that I buy a lot of the same foods on a regular basis.

Inside my fridge from top to bottom:

First shelf: Kombucha {I now make my own but use GT’s bottles for storing}, hemp seeds and other drinks.

Second shelf: Oranges, apples

Third shelf: Leftovers or any food I have prepared & lettuce

The first drawer: Flat or smaller items {miso, garlic and seaweed}

The bottom two drawers are where carrots, cucumbers, and all other vegetable live.

Side shelves:

Superfoods & Dressings

Macrobiotic ingredients

Condiments

Tall things {like apple cider vinegar}

I do have labels in my fridge- labels help me and I love them:} There are other foods that go into my refrigerator but having a solid foundation of where the ‘regulars’ live make the ‘transients’ easier to deal with:}

They also like to live in a place that is easy for them to sit rather than rolling all around in the drawers.

Organized fruit = Happy fruit:}

Thanks Mom!
